As of 11:30AM on February 16, 2017, the Boil Water Advisory that was issued on 2/14/17 for Atlantic Beach residents west of the Coral Bay Club to the Atlantic Beach town limits has been lifted. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.
On 02/14/2017, a water outage occurred due to damage done to a water main by a contractor in the Town of Atlantic Beach. All properties located west of the Coral Bay Club to the Town limits have been affected.
Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increase the potential for back siphonage and the introduction of bacteria into the water system. Therefore, it is advised that when water service is restored, consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water. Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This advisory remains in effect until further notice. Notice of the advisory being lifted will be posted on the Town website or further information can be obtained by calling Town Hall at 252-726-1366.
