On November 2, 2018, the Town of Atlantic Beach began allowing golf carts that are registered with the Town and that meet specific safety requirements to be operated on the public streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less; except for NC 58 (Ft. Macon Road) and the Atlantic Beach Causeway. Registration can be done online HERE. Please call the Atlantic Beach Police Department during regular business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) if you have any issues completing this process.
SAFETY INSPECTIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED AT YOUR RESIDENCE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on weekdays (M-F) and will be scheduled by the AB Police Department after receiving your registration or renewal paperwork.
