The Town of Atlantic Beach offers the following public beach areas with paid parking during the summer:
Circle Regional Beach Access
Provides over 300 paid parking spaces, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, and outside showers. Lifeguards on duty from 9am-6pm. Paid parking in the summer.
201 West Atlantic Blvd
Tom Doe Memorial Beach Access
Located on Ocean Boulevard and features outdoor showers, restroom, a foot-washing station, handicap ramp and parking and beach playground. Additional parking along Henderson Boulevard.
The Les and Sally Moore Public Beach Access
Provides 50 parking spaces, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, and outside showers.
177 New Bern Street
Fort Macon State Park
A seaside bathhouse and refreshment stand are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 5:45pm Memorial Day through Labor Day, staff permitting. Guests will find over 500 free parking spots at the Park.
For additional beach access information, the NC Division of Coastal Management’s public beach and waterfront access map is now available on cell phones. The map provides information for more than 400 access sites along the Carolina coast and includes the location, a picture, number of parking spots and fees, and more.
The Town also has several public boat ramps and fishing piers, but parking is limited:
- Moonlight Drive Ramp: Parking for 3 vehicles with trailers
- Pelican Drive Dock: Town dock with water access
- West Bogue Sound Drive Ramp: No parking
- Bridge Abutment Parking Facility: Fishing landing with parking for 26 vehicles (including 4 boat/trailer spaces)
